It is always exciting with new bottles. Gnista [https://www.gnistaspirits.com/] is a Swedish non-alcoholic product that mimics dark spirits like cognac or whisky. We've mixed with it once before, but wanted a second go taking the product in a slightly more exotic direction. So we decided to use some fresh pineapple juice as a base, adding the Gnista and also yuzu juice for freshness and acidity. What we always like about pineapple juice is how frothy it gets when shaken, and it creates a ple

Lorikeet

Lorikeet

Yes the list of ingredients is long, yes juicing your own pineapple requires a big machine and yes letting that simple syrup extract the cinnamon flavors is time consuming. But it's all worth it. The Lorikeet is a very lovable cocktail with clear tiki vibes and a beautiful yellow appearance. We pimped it with golden pineapple cocktail picks, fresh pineapple leaves and reusable and sustainable straws. Lorikeet Recipe by Shannon Mustipher Ingredients: 2 oz rye 0,5 oz banana liqueur 0,25 oz

Blood & Skar

Blood & Skar

This is a Blood and Sand riff, using akvavit rather than rum. It makes this cocktail much more Scandinavian, and as Swedes that's something we have to love. By the way, anybody knows the Swedish word for blood? And even trickier, what's the Swedish word for sand? The glassware deserves a mentioning of its own. We were gifted this glass a few years ago, and we only use it for bold, confident and daring cocktails. Blod & Skar is certainly such a cocktail. Blod & Skar Recipe by Sean Davey Ing

Court Royale

Court Royale

We've been making a lot of yellow cocktails lately, and here is another one. It was the combination of gin and applejack that got us interested, but it is the lemon juice and the Lillet Blanc that give the drink its colour. All ingredients contribute to the great flavour though, and the cocktail is really enjoyable. Cheers and happy Saturday. Court Royale Recipe by Julien Calella Ingredients: 1 oz London dry gin 0,75 oz Lillet Blanc 0,75 oz fresh lemon juice 0,5 oz applejack 0,5 oz simp

Fitty Fitty

Fitty Fitty

This is the slightly less overpowering dry martini variety, for those instances when less ABV is desired. We think it's such a brilliant twist on a classic, that still manages to maintain the simplicity and the elegance of the original recipe. In a recipe like this picking the right gin is of more importance compared to some other drinks. While Audrey uses Plymouth gin we decided to go with Ferdinand's [https://www.ferdinandsgin.com/] which has some wine qualities to itself, thanks to the us

The Wizard

The Wizard

The Illusionist gin [https://www.theillusionist-gin.com/eng/home] is truly magical. When poured from the bottle it has an almost purple colour, but when it is mixed with other ingredients its colour changes. Part of the excitement is seeing what colour the mixed drink gets after adding the gin. When we created this drink we thought it would end up a bit blue, but when the gin was mixed with Suze, it decided to go golden/amber instead. When seeing that, we just had to call the drink “The Wizar

Almost Famous

Almost Famous

Another nice recipe for a modern tiki drink. Almost Famous is a perfect riff of a Paper Plane, and we love the fantastic colour it gets thanks to the Aperol. We used Rum Fire in this one, it's such a characteristic and tasty rum that works fantastic in this type of drinks. Almost Famous Recipe by Laura Bishop Ingredients: 1 oz overproof Jamaican rum 1 oz yellow Chartreuse 1 oz Aperol 1 oz fresh lime juice Mixing: Shake all ingredients with fresh ice and fine strain into a coupe. Dark Old Fashioned

Dark Old Fashioned

It’s still Old Fashioned week, and we wanted to squeeze in this scotch variation made with Darkness [https://darknesswhisky.com/]. It is a new whisky to us, matured for eight years both in bourbon casks and later in sherry casks. Thanks to this it gets a very pleasant flavour, with noticeable hints of sherry of course. It works brilliantly in an Old Fashioned, accompanied only by a small amount of sugar and some bitters drops. The recipe for an Old Fashioned is a very good template for other
