This is the slightly less overpowering dry martini variety, for those instances when less ABV is desired. We think it's such a brilliant twist on a classic, that still manages to maintain the simplicity and the elegance of the original recipe.⁠

In a recipe like this picking the right gin is of more importance compared to some other drinks. While Audrey uses Plymouth gin we decided to go with Ferdinand's which has some wine qualities to itself, thanks to the use of Riesling grapes. Combining this gin with a fortified wine such as dry vermouth was a match made in heaven. We really, really enjoyed this drink.⁠

Ingredients:

1,5 oz gin⁠
1,5 oz dry vermouth⁠
1 dash orange bitters⁠

Mixing:

Stir all ingredients with fresh ice and fine strain into a cocktail glass. Audrey suggests a lemon twist for garnish while we went with olives.⁠
