Bartender's Bingo

Bartender's Bingo

A lot of ingredients, and a lot of originators. This is the Bartender's Bingo by Luke O'Neil, Evan Kenney and Sam Gabrielli. According to the legend this cocktail started out as a parody. But the result turned out so delicious, the cocktail ended up on the menu of a bar in Somerville, USA. So yes, you need to bring out a lot of bottles, squeeze both lemon and lime, produce a lot of bitter dashes and then put all bottles back again. Is it worth it you may ask yourself… …we say yes! This drink

Adriatique

Adriatique

The Adriatique by Jackson Cannon is a really colourful cocktail. It's primarily based around amaro Montenegro, which is one of our favourite amari. It's herbal, sweet and very flavorful, and it's just perfect to use in cocktails. As the weather is hotter than ever in Stockholm we were able to enjoy (and photograph) this drink outdoors. There's something extra enjoyable in being able to sip these Italian products outside. We just imagine this is how they are consumed in Italy all year around. A

Blood Orange Negroni

Blood Orange Negroni

It is Negroni Week, arranged and curated by Imbibe Magazine [http://imbibemagazine.com/]. And even if we are not a bar we still wanted to contribute with a Negroni variation, invented by Emily Arden Wells [https://www.instagram.com/gastronomista_/]. The Blood Orange Negroni takes full advantage of the bittersweet flavour of blood oranges, infusing them in gin. We did this, as suggested, the sous vide way. (Placing 1 oz of gin and three slices of blood orange in a sealed bag, letting it simmer i

Cucunut Spring

Cucunut Spring

We are in the middle of the “Strawless Cocktail Week [https://www.instagram.com/strawlesscocktailweek/]“. It's a global event aimed at trying to reduce the endless amount of disposable plastic straws we tend to use in drinks. Today there are so many more environmentally friendly straws available. They can be made of metal, glass, bamboo or paper, but what they all have in common is that they are either reusable or degradable. Now, we are the first ones to admit we have previously used plastic

The Derby

The Derby

We continue to try out recipes from Ted Haigh's excellent book “Vintage Spirits and Forgotten Cocktails [https://mattias.adbibere.se/product/vintage-spirits-and-forgotten-cocktails-from-the-alamagoozlum-to-the-zombie-100-rediscovered-recipes-and-the-stories-behind-them/] “. Today we are making The Derby. According to the book, cocktails and horse racing have always gone hand in hand. And this is one of the cocktails that's been around for a long time, although there are different variations of

Vieux Ananas

Vieux Ananas

Seeing pineapple rum in any cocktail recipe always gets us interested. The tropical tasting Vieux Ananas by Ezra Star is certainly no exception. This drink is so good! Lots of pineapple flavour, sweetness and booze at the same time. It's a stiff cocktail, but still so easy to drink. The dehydrated slices of pineapple are probably more meant to be enjoyed in your breakfast müsli or as a snack. But we are quite obsessed with using them as cocktail garnishing instead. (Yes, you have seen them bef

The Winter Of Our Content

The Winter Of Our Content

This is low ABV cocktail “The Winter Of Our Content” by Toby Maloney. It uses Licor 43, a Spanish vanilla and herb liqueur that we are trying for the first time in a cocktail. And what's the reason? Well, we recently spent a few days of vacation in Spain, and at the airport on our way home there was a massive campaign for Licor 43. Wanting to bring something Spanish back home to Sweden, a bottle of this local liqueur felt like a clever buy. Now there's not a lot of Licor 43 in the cocktail, bu

The Amen Corner

The Amen Corner

The Amen Corner, by Nick Brown is a riff of The Paper Plane. And it's delicious! Those muddled mint leaves add a lot of character despite not being visible in the finalized drink. And, as lovers of Maraschino cherries this is definitely a drink for us. Not one, not two but THREE cherries is the suggested garnish. Well we couldn't be happier, these cherries are truly some black pearls! We recently bought a set of vintage cocktail picks, mimicking different fruit and vegetables. None of them dep
