The Tarnish

The Tarnish

This drink gets such a nice ruby red colour from the cassis. And it tastes as good as it looks. They smokiness of the mezcal combines with the sweet liqueur in a really pleasant way. The sparkling club soda helps refresh things and it all turns out in the most delicious of ways. The Tarnish Recipe from “Tequila & Mezcal” by Sondlo & Rapp Ingredients: 1,25 oz mezcal 0,25 oz rhum Agricole 0,25 oz crème de cassis 1 oz lime juice 0,5 oz simple syrup Club soda Mixing: Shake all ingredients

Ice-berg

Ice-berg

Those Underberg bitter bottles actually make a beautiful garnish, which this drink proves. Because after emptying the tiny bottle into the mix, the bottle is later used as a pretty striking decoration in the middle of the frozen drink. And frozen drinks are a lot of fun on their own. It's just a weird in-between consistency that is sooo lovely to slurp on. You could attack it with a spoon or a thick straw, but you can also drink it like a regular drink, it just requires some patience. Now

Bella's Sour

Bella's Sour

Our good friend Bella [https://www.instagram.com/mixedbybella/] makes her own sloe liqueur. And she very generously offered us a sample of it - that we just had to turn into a sour. And just look at the colour the cocktail gets! Those sloe berries know how to make an impact - and that goes not only for the colour but also for the flavour. Bella got the perfect balance of sweet and sour in her liqueur, which to us is crucial in fruit- and berry based blends. Thank you so much Bella for the mos

Russian Spring Punch

Russian Spring Punch

Yes we are using vodka! It's rare but this is proof it does happen! But this punch is topped up with so many other good things, or how about gorgeous Swedish cassis liqueur from Hernö Gin [https://hernogin.com/] and bubbly Monopole Champagne? Long-drinks are nice and we usually have them with our weekend dinners. Even though we would never say no to a glass of wine, sometimes switching it for a good low ABV cocktail can be so good. Russian Spring Punch Recipe by Dick Bradsell Ingredien

Pegu Club

Pegu Club

We took another chance to use the Highclere Castle Gin [https://www.highclerecastlespirits.com/home.php] in a classic cocktail. This time we chose a Pegu Club, which is a spin on a a gin sour, with orange liqueur added. Such a nice cocktail this is! It really lets the gin shine, at the same time evoking further interest wit hoses orange notes. The sour lime completes everything in the perfect way. Pegu Club Recipe Ingredients: 1,25 oz gin 0,75 oz fresh lime juice 0,25 oz orange curacao

The (D)rum Roll

The (D)rum Roll

This recipe is to show how easy it can be to mix a nice rum highball drink at home. All the ingredients used are poured straight into a tall glass, after which you’re ready to enjoy. The art of mixology doesn’t have to be more complicated than that. We’ve also tried to stick to ingredients that you keep at home anyway. Once again, although it is fun to explore new ingredients, staying on the lookout for peculiarities, often it is also nice to just be able to grab what you have and turn it int

Manzana, Naranja, Caña

Manzana, Naranja, Caña

With spring and soon summer approaching Sweden we wanted to mix and shoot this cocktail outside. The fair-trade-certified Nicaraguan rum from Flor de Caña [https://flordecana.com/] is produced very close to an active volcano, which we think is so awesome to know. And even if the air is nowhere near as hot here in Sweden at the moment, we still wanted to mimic the natural elements of the Flor de Caña rum production site. In this drink we are mixing rum with apple juice and orange liqueur.
