Here we made a sour with Rubis Blanc, a French pure malt distillate. It's a clear product, making the sour look very transparent which we think is pretty sharp. ⁠

Sour recipes are great because of their riffability. By changing the base spirit for something else, using lime instead of lemon and trying a flavoured syrup - you can end up with a completely different drink that should still be balanced and taste well as long as the above ratios are maintained.⁠

Recipe

Ingredients:

1,5 oz Rubis Blanc⁠
0,75 oz lemon juice⁠
0,5 oz simple syrup⁠

Mixing:

Shake with fresh ice and strain into an ice-filled rocks glass.
