This is an intriguing one. Apple brandy is mixed with Swedish punsch, while there is also both rum and orange liqueur in the mix. The result is a fairly complex, interesting and enticing drink that we thoroughly enjoyed. We believe punsch is more and more available around the world these days. It's fun to sea it used in cocktail recipes, as it was previously mainly served with certain food dishes in Sweden (especially with yellow pea soup). It's great in drinks though, so we like the route pu

Battle Over Dutch

This is another gem from one of Frederic Yarm's [https://www.instagram.com/fredericyarm/] recipe packed cocktail books. It was probably the Swedish punsch in the recipe that caught our interest, along with the cream sherry which is an ingredient we like a lot. Battle Over Dutch Recipe from Merril & Co Ingredients: 1 oz cream sherry 1 oz Swedish punsch 0,5 oz cacao liqueur 0,5 oz lemon juice Mixing: Shake all ingredients with fresh ice and fine strain into a coupe. Femme Fatale

Femme Fatale

A huge inspiration to us is Madeleine Solo Rapp [https://www.instagram.com/madeleinesolorapp/] - she's a very experienced bartender having worked at some high profile bars around the world. This is her “Femme Fatale” that she created while bartending at the Dead Rabbit bar in New York City. We love that this cocktail features a very Swedish ingredient, lingonberry preserves. Because yes, Madeleine is Swedish, and we think it's very cool how this every now and then shows in her cocktail recipe

Thinking that there were cocktail competitions all the way back in 1935, and that a winning cocktail from that era is still much enjoyable, is amusing. And seeing that Swedish punsch was an internationally used ingredient already then is extra fun. Punsch has definitely become a cocktail ingredient of importance today, but already 1935 it was something to count with. Orange juice in drinks has always scared us a bit. But the small amount in here is only nice. It counters the sweet punsch i

Welcome Stranger

Welcome Stranger

Swedish punsch is always heartwarming to see in recipes. It is ok to get slightly patriotic also when it comes to cocktails is it?! Mixing punsch with both brandy and gin must be fairly unusual, but this recipe proves it works. Somehow all those characteristic spirits unite and form a pleasant drinking experience. And using these tall coupes gave us a good opportunity to use our long banana vintage cocktail picks! Welcome Stranger Recipe Ingredients: 0,5 oz Swedish punsch 0,5 oz brandy 0,5 o

Four Flush Cocktail

Four Flush Cocktail

We are always excited to shake vintage drinks. The Savoy Cocktail Book, with the creations of Harry Craddock, is packed with retro recipes that almost all seem to stay relevant.⁣ ⁣ The Four Flush cocktail is no exception. All four ingredients are widely available and used still, hey even that Swedish punsch is sweeping the cocktail world and can now be bought also outside of Sweden.⁣ ⁣ There are only a few drops of grenadine in the drink, and still it intensely colors it. We think the end resu

Being Swedes our hearts beat a little extra for recipes featuring Swedish bottles. And it's exciting to see how punsch is finding its way to different corners of the world. It's an aromatic and flavour packed product that works so good in cocktails (and not only warm in a glass, accompanying pea soup on Thursdays - yep that's the traditional way of consuming it). Here the punsch is paired with tequila and slow gin, giving the drink both colour and flavour. And even if the lemon juice is only add

Conspiracy Theory

Conspiracy Theory

The Conspiracy Theory by Connor Stehr is a sloe gin driven cocktail, which is extra fun for us to make as it contains Swedish punsch. The punsch contributes with an arrak kind of flavour, and it is relatively sweet. It plays very well with the sloe gin which is also somehow semi sweet, but is countered nicely by the lime juice. The sloe gin we used, Monkey 47, is not as intensely red as some other brands, so our cocktail ended up more on the orange side. It still tasted divine, so our complime
