When O'live Gin [https://www.olivegin.com/] kindly offered us to sample their pretty unique product, a gin made with olives, we knew we wanted to make some kind of The Last Word riff with it. ⠀ ⠀ Immediately we thought of spicy Ancho Reyes Verde, another “green” product we like, along with Chartreuse. We contemplated if equal parts would mean the heat from the chili liqueur would be overwhelming, but it turned out to work perfectly, making this recipe much more easy to remember.⠀ ⠀ The olive g

We've been loyal followers to Steve over at @boxesandbooze [https://www.instagram.com/boxesandbooze/] for a long while. His pairing of great cocktails with intriguing puzzle boxes is simply put irresistible.⁣ ⁣ And we have so many saved recipes from Steve's feed. The Lumière is one of them, and it caught our attention because of its resemblance with The Last Word - our favorite cocktail all categories.⁣ ⁣ Our bottle of Wallflower gin, from Odd Society Spirits [http://www.oddsocietyspirits.com/

When we got the chance to try the Haig Club Single Grain Scotch Whisky we wanted to put it to maximum test. It’s supposed to be the perfect whisky for ”non whisky drinkers” which we thought sounded pretty cool. Also we were told that the Haig Club mixes well in several different kind of cocktails, and we couldn’t resist creating an original cocktail. So here we are pairing it with semi sweet sherry, herbal Chartreuse and orange driven Grand Marnier. This results in a sophisticated but focused c

Bingin Nun

Bingin Nun

This is a very nice agave drink. We think the blanco tequila blended well with green Chartreuse and a big splash of lemon juice. It's kind of sour, but still very distinct in its flavors. It gets a pretty yellow colour, making it look a lot like it tastes. Bingin Nun Recipe by Madeleine Solo Rapp & Josephine Sondlo Ingredients: 1 oz blanco tequila 0,5 oz fino sherry 0,25 oz green Chartreuse 0,5 oz lemon juice 0,25 oz simple syrup Mixing: Shake all ingredients and strain into a glass on a

Jaguar

Jaguar

This recipe uses Amer Picon which is a bittersweet French orange-flavored aperitif. It is a common bottle throughout Europe, less so in the USA. In this drink it is combined with another super French product - green Chartreuse. The more unexpected addition is the tequila, not being very French at all. Nevertheless everything work beautifully together, and we found this cocktail to be both elegant and a bit modern and avantgarde at once. Jaguar Recipe by Tom Schlesinger-Guidelli Ingredients: 1,

May Daisy

May Daisy

May Daisy, by Phil Ward is a Cognac based cocktail. This is still relatively unusual in drinks so the recipe got us intrigued and we needed to make it. And it's good! The Cognac is a powerful spirit, that is somehow tamed in this cocktail, both by the citrus but also by the herbal Chartreuse. The result is a strong but still refreshing cocktail with slight tiki vibes. May Daisy Recipe Ingredients: 2 oz Cognac 1 oz lemon juice 0,75 oz green Chartreuse 0,75 oz simple syrup Mixing: Shake wit

Rubicon

Rubicon

Time for a pretty fancy cocktail, the Rubicon, from bar Canon in Seattle. This is a Last Word with extra everything, complete with open flames and fresh herbs. This drink is very heavy on gin, so choose this wisely. Go with your favorite. For us this was the perfect opportunity to break our bottle of Conker Spirit's [https://www.conkerspirit.co.uk/] gin. It's a delicious product from Dorset in the UK, and it was great in this herbal cocktail. As this recipe involves an open flame a warning sho

We are just back in Sweden after a very inspirational week in Washington DC and New York City.
