The name might be short and easy, but the cocktail is long and complex. It is made with three different sweeteners, each one full of distinct flavor. Then there is the Dry Rye gin [http://www.stgeorgespirits.com/spirits/gins/st-george-dry-rye-gin/] in a rather small amount followed by a generous splash of genever. Very noticeable is also the colour of this drink, it gets intensely yellow, making it look very tempting. V.O.C. Recipe by Jim Betz Ingredients: 1 barspoon cinnamon syrup 0,25 oz gi

When the team behind Porter's gin [http://www.portersgin.co.uk/] kindly asked us to try out their gin we knew we wanted to use it in a long drink. Being a citrus driven gin, pairing it with fruit flavors such us elderflower and cherry was also an easy decision. So when we found this recipe in Imbibe Magazine we knew it was a great fit for the Porter's gin. Before starting to mix we tried the gin neat, and it is as gorgeous as expected. The lemon is there, but it's also bursting with botanicals

Means of Preservation

Means of Preservation

We just think there's something very elegant with clear cocktails. It's like you cant't hide something, so the cocktail ends up looking very pure. It can still be potent though, in this recipe there is a large amount of gin, and just like with a Martini it is only ever so slightly enhanced with dry vermouth. The addition of the sweet elderflower, combined with the celery bitters is of course what makes this recipe different - and so in the most delicious way! Means of Preservation Recipe by Joh

The Swedish cherries are here, and we wanted that to permeate this post. While not using the cherries in the actual cocktail they made a perfect side snack to be enjoyed together with the drink. And, with Heering in the ingredients list there is still cherry in the cocktail, although Danish rather than Swedish. The cocktail turned out nicely, maybe a little on the sweet side. If you prefer more sour drinks cut down on the simple syrup, or just leave it out completely. Brace Position Recipe by G

Honeyed Coffee Gin & Tonic

Honeyed Coffee Gin & Tonic

Being the coffee lovers we are, this caffeine-twist on a classic G&T suits us perfectly, especially in the current Swedish heatwave. Combining coffee and tonic water with a splash of honey guarantees a both refreshing and interesting flavour experience.  And the ABV is easily altered by adding more or less of the tonic water. Honeyed Coffee Gin & Tonic Recipe by Julia Momose Ingredients: 1 oz gin 0,5 oz honey syrup 1,5 oz cold-brew coffee tonic water Mixing: Combine the coffee, honey syrup

Love Makes You Feel Ten Feet Tall

Love Makes You Feel Ten Feet Tall

Love Makes You Feel Ten Feet Tall… …Jay Zimmerman certainly named this gin and pisco cocktail in the most lovingly way. And it is a drink that's easy to fall in love with. Four delicious ingredients and a tingling addition of salt. Have a look at this elegant recipe: We really like these kind of recipes with quite clean flavors. You do taste all four spirits, at the same time appreciating the combined drinking experience they deliver. We also love how pretty the cocktail looks, especially in t

Soft Shock

Soft Shock

Another summer sipper; this is the Soft Shock by the editors of PUNCH. Being 50% a Gin & Tonic and 50% a Rebujito this highball gets quite Spanish, mixing two of Spain's most popular drinks. And it is quite understandable why these refreshing cocktails are so popular in sunny and hot Spain. With mint, sherry and tonic water, along with lots and lots of ice this is the ultimate remedy for warmness. And yes, that's ready-made Swedish Tonic [https://www.swedishtonic.com/] we are using! Sunflower

Sunflower

Another recipe from Kara Newman's [https://www.instagram.com/newman_kara/] book “Shake. Stir. Sip.” This is a Sunflower cocktail, created by Sam Ross. It's one of those four equal parts recipes, that is so easy to make at home. It was super sunny when we shot these drinks. We had to shade off the sun, at the same time as we wanted to make the most of the light - it is a Sunflower after all. Then sipping on the drinks outside, in the evening sun was quite wonderful. The cocktail is really good.
