Kind of a Christmas drink it is, the Schnitzelburg cocktail. With the Caradamaro and Maraschino cherry liqueur, combined with bourbon and Fernet-Branca it's anyway the perfect sipper now, a few days after Christmas. What we liked about this cocktail was its intensity. It's a boozy drink, but with more tastes than just the strong bourbon. A Rubberband Man, that's what I'm holding in my hand (together with a rather large amount of rubber bands). This balancing act was well worth the effort though, this cocktail is a really nice one! When we found the recipe we were primarily intrigued by two things; the funny name of the cocktail and the Cardamaro content. If you are making a cocktail called The Gift Shop, by Thomas Waugh from Death & Co New York City, you know it's gonna be good! It starts with the muddling of fresh cucumber wheels, releasing both flavour and aromas. Then there is the large amount of rum, and the less voluminous pour of amaro Cardamaro.
