We love mezcal. This smoky agave spirit is so full of character and flavour, and it always makes for an interesting cocktail.

In the Mezcalita, mezcal gets to be the star supported by its sibling tequila as well as fresh lime juice and sweet and nutty orgeat. The result, a cloudy cocktail that contrasts so nicely with the clear ice we used.

The rubber coasters by @champ.co are made of recycled airplane tyres. And some of them just happen to have the exakt some colour as the floating Angostura!

Mezcalita

Recipe by Ted Dako

Ingredients:

0,5 oz mezcal
1 oz blanco tequila
1 oz lime juice
1 oz orgeat
Angostura bitters, for the float

Mixing:

Shake all ingredients except the bitters with lots of fresh ice. Strain into a rocks glass, or a wine glass like we did. Add a large ice cube to the glass and float the Angostura on top. A burning rosemary sprig is the suggested garnish (which we didn't have on hand).

Glassware:

rocks or wine glass

Clear ice is denser and melts more slowly, keeping your drink colder for longer without diluting its

A Spirit(ual) Journey Throughout the North of Sweden

It has always been on our wishlist, to tour the more northern parts of Sweden. Our interest in spirits and cocktails have taken us to many places in Sweden and abroad, but until now not really more north than Uppsala. Well this just changed, as we got the chance to pay a visit to gin producer Norrbottens Destilleri. And this was just the start of five fantastic days, driving between so many beautiful spots. Norrbottens Destilleri Töre, close to Kalix, is where Norrbottens Destilleri produce the
